History
The ABA lending library was founded in 1982 as part of ABA member service programs. The library collection has been as- sembled through the generosity of ABA members' donations. All Library resources are available to ABA members at the library or through the mail. ABA's goal of establishing a brewery museum and research library was achieved when the historically renovated Potosi Brewery Building was opened in 2008. In 2014, the library underwent a $55,000 renovation to bring it into the 21st century.

Our Mission
The National Brewery Museum & Research Library located in the $7 million renovated historical Potosi Brewing Building in Potosi, Wisconsin is a non-profit, tax exempt IRS 501 (c )(3) educational and historical corporation. The museum & library was established to advance the public knowledge of U. S. breweries and their artifacts. The mission of the library & Archives at the National Brewery Museum Library is to collect, preserve and make available for research, publishing and original documents chronicling the development and experiences of the United States Brewing Industry.
